great great grandmother was born Mary Ann Nagiel in 1843 in the Whitechapel
area of London. Her father was Caspar Nagiel, a shoemaker, who may
have been born in Poland towards the beginning of the 19th century.
Around the middle of the 1860s Mary Nagiel married Mathew Hill.
